Results Published from Round Tables at the InsSciDE First Open Conference!
The InsSciDE project held its 2019 Open Conference, the first of three major cross-sectoral science diplomacy events, in Krakow, Poland, 18-20 January.
The conference brought together international experts and researchers in science diplomacy, 250 diplomats-in-training from over 50 countries, and other science diplomacy practitioners, in a three day dynamic event exploring key contemporary and historical science diplomacy topics and cases.
The final day of the InsSciDE First Open Conference saw six Discovery Round Tables on science diplomacy responses to global challenges in heritage, health, security, environment and space, with one session looking at the roles played by science academies and diplomats.
Young diplomats, researchers, and experts exchanged ideas on strategies, best practices and lessons to be drawn from InsSciDE historical science diplomacy cases. Insights from the discussions were noted by the young diplomats and collated. Summary results are available for download below:
